Its been the scandal of the year. Volkswagen have been installing "defeat devices" which is a piece of software that allows cars to cheat the emissions test making them appear cleaner than they actually are. Initially Volkswagen admitted that there are 11 million vehicles with the cheating software including Audi, Seat and Skoda Models as well as their VW Vans. But this week Volkswagen have published a new review regarding the CO2 Emissions in the Volkswagen range. Previously it was believed all but a few engines from Volkswagen were involved but this recent release revealed only four that are affected. The Scirocco 2.0TDI, Jetta 2.0TDI, Golf Hatchback & Cabriolet 2.0TDI and the Passat Estate 2.0TDI. The revised Co2 figures for these cars will be released by Christmas and a further review will be published on the way these models will be fixed. Since this positive news has been released by Volkswagen the media, who have created a storm of negative press, have not yet released any information with regards to the new findings.
